About the Project
The design for Sorekara is deeply rooted in the philosophy of "And Then", which represents a continual journey of discovery and layered experiences. Inspired by the restaurant's vision to honor Japanese-American cuisine through the lens of timeless luxury, we created a multi-sensory dining environment that mirrors the artistry and intentionality of Executive Chef William Shen. The concept of layers served as the foundation for the spatial narrative—drawing parallels between the chefs' meticulous layering of flavors and ingredients in their ever-evolving tasting menu, inspired by Japan's 72 micro-seasons.
